Town Planning Schemes
Town Planning Schemes are prepared for smaller area of the city/town under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976. In T.P.schemes, each individual plot is reconstituted to form a regular shaped plot having at least one access from the public road. Public purpose plots required for that area are allotted to the Appropriate Authorities to cater to the needs of the scheme area. The land of the 'public purpose' plots is not acquired under Land Acquisition Act, 1894 but it vests absolutely in the Appropriate Authority, with no encumbrances.
